The Importance Of Fitness
Did you know that if you are physically inactive that you increase your risk of heart disease by the same amount as if you smoked ? In the UK it is estimated that 70% of the adult population can be classed as physically inactive. In the US 60% of adults do not participate in the recommended level of physical activity & 25% are not active at all.
In Australia 33% of the population are said to be so inactive that they gain no health benefits at all & the risk to the community from their physical inactivity, and therefore lack of fitness, is great.
For thousands of years physical activity and your level of fitness have been linked to good health. Due to the advance of science in this day & age this link can be proven, with overwhelming evidence that people who lead active lifestyles are less likely to die early or to experience major illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes & colon cancer.
Fitness is therefore a major, if not the major, factor in the type of health you are likely to enjoy. Regular exercise will improve your level of fitness and improve the way you look and feel. In conjunction with a balanced diet regular activity can help you maintain a healthy weight. It can even increase self confidence and reduce the risk of depression.
In order to maintain ones fitness it is recommended that you should use up approx 200 calories per day for most days of the week. This equates to 30 minutes of exercise which can be all in one go or even in 3 10 minute stints.
Here are some suggestions to help maintain your fitness.
Walk up the stairs (even part of the way) instead of taking the elevator.
Walk up moving escalators.
For short journeys leave the car and walk.
Do the house work at twice the speed.
Try DIY such as painting or do some gardening such as raking the leaves.
Get off the bus or subway a couple of stops early and walk the rest of the way.
Here are some benefits you will get from improved fitness through exercise.
Increased levels of HDL or “good” cholesterol.
Lower high blood pressure.
Help improve body composition by burning fat.
Promote healthy blood sugar levels.
Promote bone density.
Boost the immune system.
Improve mood and reduce the chance of depression.
Improving your level of fitness needn’t be hard work, find some activity that you enjoy, maybe with your partner, family or friends. Stay motivated, keep a diary of your activities so you can look back and see how far you have come. Post inspirational quotes or stories at work or around the home. Set goals, both long and short term, rather than say you want to be fit for the summer, commit to going to the gym or aerobic class at least once a week.
Goals should be SMART
Specific
Measureable
Achievable
Realistic
Time based
Picture where you want to be, maybe competing in a local fun run or race, get out an old pair of jeans or a dress that no longer fits & picture yourself wearing them/it.
Remember that exercise releases chemicals to the brain such as serotonin which has a great effect on your mood, helping to reduce anxiety, stress and depression. So even if you don’t feel like exercising, remind yourself that you will feel better after.

How The South Beach Diet Can Help You Lose Weight And Keep The Fat Off
In recent times the South Beach diet has become a popular weight loss program because of the emphasis it places on nutrition and eating habits that helps dieters find the right balance between nutrition and dieting.
Originally developed by an American cardiologist for his patients, the South Beach Diet is known to many dieters as an effective way of losing weight and keeping the fat off.
The basic principle behind the South Beach Diet is that while most diets concentrate on taking away fats or carbohydrates, the South Beach Diet proposes that some carbohydrates and fats are actually good for you and that the ones that do not add nutrients or energy to your diet should be eliminated and the consumption of good carbohydrates and fats should be encouraged.
The kind of fats that the South Beach diet encourages are the healthy unsaturated fats from olive oil and canola oil, for example, and the natural omega-3 rich oil found in fish. Additionally, the South Beach Diet recommends that people get their protein mainly from legumes, nuts, fish and poultry, with red meat eaten less regularly.
The South Beach Diet is divided into stages. Each stage is designed to help the body to adjust to new changes in lifestyle with new eating habits.
Stage 1
During the first stage of the diet which lasts for two weeks, it is important to find foods that do not have saturated fats in them or carbohydrates that may not be healthy like bread, potatoes, sugar, candy, cereals and grains, fruits, baked goods and other types of sugar containing foods. The idea here is that once you cut these foods out for two weeks, your body should be able to balance itself with the nutrients that it needs.
Stage 2
After two weeks the second stage begins and it is in this stage that you can then begin re-introducing, in small quantities, some of the foods that were initially eliminated in stage one. During this time, you will need to figure out how much you need to eat as well as how much weight you want to lose. This will help you to determine how much of each food you can safely put back into your diet in order to stay balanced.
Stage 3
After the dieter reaches the desired weight that he or she wanted to achieve, stage three of the diet begins. In stage three the diet expands to include three servings of fruit a day and three servings of whole-grain a day. The third stage of the South Beach diet is particularly important because it is in stage 3 that the dieter learns to maintain the body weight that he has achieved, while continuing to eat a nutritious and a balanced diet.
Overall, the South Beach diet will provide information on what kinds of foods to eat. This includes seafood, lighter types of meat like chicken, vegetables, eggs, cheese and nuts and salads which are important parts of the South Beach diet. These types of food are not only known to carry several nutrients in them, but also allow for you to go without being hungry or needing more than three meals a day.
By moving to the South Beach Diet, you will learn to find a balance in your nutrition and in your diet and to allow for you to change your lifestyle so that you can begin to feel healthy and take whatever measures necessary in order to lose weight and keep the fat off.

Is There Anything Like The Best Acne Treatment For Rosacea?
Rosacea is not a rosy state of affairs for your face. It has the appearance of bad acne. It normally selects cheeks, the best part of your face, for its unpleasant operation. You have severe redness and soaring of the skin. Mouth and forehead are the other favorite spots for rosacea. Even the best of acne treatments prescribed can not assure you of a permanent rosacea cure.
This is another pro-women disease. It attacks women more than the men. Normally it visits you after the age of 30, but this is not the thumb rule. It can surprise you at any time. Moreover this skin culprit is hereditary in nature.
Since its presence is very strong, visible and prominent, it may lead you to an awkward situation. There is no definite cure for rosacea. But several treatment options can be tried. So always take a final decision about the treatment in consultation with your dermatologist only.
Correct diagnosis in suspected case of rosacea is necessary, to find out whether it is actually rosacea. If it actually is, the dermatologist will decide the line of treatment suitable to the type of your rosacea attack.
Till date, pulsed light technology or laser technology is considered as the best treatment for rosacea. Rosacea causes redness of the skin. Laser heats the skin to the level that reduces or eliminates the redness. Most of the over the counter products do not go well with its treatment. So the best person to decide upon the right rosacea treatment for you is your dermatologist.
What is agonizing about rosacea is that it appears not as one to one cyst. It is characterized by reddish discoloration of the facial skin, the targeted areas being cheeks, nose and the forehead.
Since it targets the fair-skinned people more, its presence is prominently exhibited. Along with rosacea, pimples too may make their presence, but no whiteheads or blackheads will appear. Some of the implications of rosacea are frightening.
Initially, redness comes and goes, as if rosacea is doing rehearsals. Treat it at this stage itself, otherwise you are inviting more damage to your facial skin. Puffy cheeks and disfigurement of the nose are not uncommon, if you neglect the treatment.
In such a situation, cosmetic surgery is the only alternative. Severe cases of rosacea can even impair your vision. You are lucky, if your dermatologist is able to identify the root cause of your rosacea condition, in the first stage of attack. This is only possible when you report to your dermatologist in the first stage of its attack. So don’t keep sitting to ignore the red soars on your cheeks.

I’m too Skinny - How to Gain Weight and Muscle
It always comes as a surprise when you hear someone say that they are too skinny or they need to gain some weight, but in fact there are quite a few persons who fall into that category. Even if you are genetically predisposed to being skinny, you can improve your physical appearance by weight and strength training to build bulk and eating appropriately.
There are steps to gaining weight and skipping one or the other will make it more difficult to move from being skinny to your desired weight and size. Some of the recommended steps in gaining weight are:
Lifting weight
Counting calories
Strength training
Drinking water
How to Build Muscles
The best way to increase size is to bulk up or to build muscles; you could eat all the wrong things and put on weight but that would be the wrong type of bulk: fat. Muscles on the other hand improve strength and tone the body. To ensure that you are not overtraining any one group of muscles it is good to have a weight lifting program, this will split your routine into various days. For example, if you decide to train for only four days per week, you would do this:
Monday: Legs and shoulders
Tuesday: Biceps and triceps
Wednesday: No gym
Thursday: Abs
Friday: Chest and back
Even though you may be skinny and trying to gain weight you shouldn’t overwork your muscles. It is a good idea to give muscles at lest a forty-eight hour recovery time between exercises. It is not how long you work the muscles that build bulk, it is how hard. Always get expert advice when you are just starting an exercise program.
Bodybuilding Drinks
Body builders tend to drink lots of protein drinks and supplements. Some of this is hype, but not all. Ask questions from nutritionists or professional trainers to find the type of drink that will help you gain weight in a healthy way. Most of these drinks are high in protein and carbohydrates which aid in growing muscles and restoring energy.
How to gain weight healthily
To gain weight in a healthy way, that is, to no longer be skinny, but thin and healthy you have to maintain a proper diet. This means increasing your calorie intake, but it is important that you stay away from ‘bad’ fats. You must however take in more calories than you are burning by exercising and from daily activities. One of the reasons why bodybuilding shakes help with weight gain is the amount of protein they contain in addition to complex carbohydrates. Increase your meals to about five to six small portions per day. This is the main way to increase your calorie intake in a natural, healthy routine.
Being consistent is necessary, and for you to see results you must be willing to keep working at building muscles and gaining weight. Lastly, no matter how skinny you are, you also need to include cardio exercises in your routine. Rest, and plenty of it, is also important, especially for allowing tired muscles to recover and regenerate.

The Functions of the Gallbladder and the Gallbladder Disease
The gallbladder is a small organ situated near mid-abdominal area of the body. Its main function is to store the bile that comes from the liver. Bile is a substance that helps in the digestion of fat. Fat does not dissolve in water, so in order to emulsify fat something special is needed. The liver produces the bile and then stores it in the gallbladder until the body needs to digest fats. When this moment comes, the gallbladder starts to let the bile flow down into the intestine, inside the duodenum, where fat is digested with its help and then absorbed by the organism. While bile sits in the gallbladder, the water from it pours out through the gallbladder’s walls, making the bile more concentrated and therefore more effective. Bile also neutralizes some of the acids that are found in certain types of food.
Just like every other organ in the body, the gallbladder can malfunction and cause illness. At some people, usually women that are over 40 years of age, (but there have been quite a large number of cases of men suffering from gallbladder too), the bile inside it can crystallize into small stones, called gallstones. Gallstones are made of salt, calcium and cholesterol, all put together in a small stone. These gallstones can cause some problems, starting with the inflammation of the gallbladder and ending with severe pain and blockage.
In 3 quarters of the patients gallbladder does not cause any visible symptoms, but in one quarter something appears. These are the most encountered symptoms of the gallbladder disease:
-variable pain in the abdominal area. Variable because this pain is sometimes easy, sometimes very bad, and sometimes it lasts long, sometimes it doesn’t
-vomiting accompanied by temperature
-yellow-ish skin and eyes, when a gallstones obstructs the canal through which bile flows from the liver into the gallbladder
Fortunately, gallstones can leave the body by themselves, but in some cases they get stuck on the way and obstruct the flow of bile. If this happens surgery is required. The gallbladder surgery is called cholecystectomy, and it consists of a procedure that removes the gallbladder from the body and connects the liver directly to the stomach, so bile does not pass through it anymore. This causes the fat substance digestion to be less effective.
In the most unfortunate cases, complications lead to gallbladder cancer. This can happen if someone suffering from the gallbladder disease has weight problems and also smokes and drinks a lot. Gallbladder cancer is a fatal illness, although advanced surgical tehniquies attempt to remove it most of the patients with gallbladder die.
Gallbladder disease is in most cases almost harmless, but if you feel any of the symptoms you should visit a doctor and listen to his advice. Patients that have been operated of gallbladder and had it removed can soon return to their normal lives, but they need to pay attention to the quantity of fat that they eat, because without the gallbladder the body can’t handle the fat substance digestion to well.

Glyconutrients - How Much to Take?
Before we address the obvious question about how to take glyconutrients, let’s first discuss briefly what they are.
Glyconutrients, are 100% vegetarian based derived entirely from plants & seaweeds. They combine aloe based saccharides with fucose-rich Undaria pinnatifida. They are Gluten Free; and usually contain arabinogalactan. Arabinogalactan has shown some immune-enhancing activity in the laboratory, particularly with regard to the stimulation of human natural killer cell cytotoxicity.
Glyconutrient products are specifically designed to enhance cellular communication. True wellness begins at the cellular level. Think about it? If your body is made up of millions and billions of cells that need to talk to each other, wouldn’t it do its job better if the communication was better? Glyconutrients have amazing research behind them.
Glyconutrients are typically, sold in a bulk powder, capsule, or liquid medium. I have chosen to only discuss the dosages for bulk powder and capsules, because I believe that liquid supplementations are subject to oxygen and free radical contamination and should NOT be consumed.
Bulk Powder Recommended Use:
One scoop (1/2 teaspon) twice daily mixed with your favorite juice, tea, or water. In trials, the glyconutrient powder has been proven to be safe, & non-toxic, with no known side effects (up to at least 60 scoops per day).
Capsule Recommended Use:
Two capsules twice daily on an empty or full stomach taken with a full glass of water. In trials, Glyconutrient capsules have been proven to be safe, & non-toxic, with no known side effects. (up to 20 capsules per day).
There is an excellent book on the market entitled ‘In Search of Manna’. You can buy it at www.amazon.com. It contains doctor recommendations for ‘emergency’ dosages of glyconutrients based on specific auto immune disorders. The recommendations based above are for maintenace dosages or healthy people that want to maintain good health.
David Filer has a personal experience with ‘cancer’ in his family and believes in a moderate approach to overall supplementation. He believes that glyconutrients are one piece of the entire wellness puzzle.

Breast Augmentation: Which Incision is Right for You?
In 2004 breast augmentation was one of the top five cosmetic surgery procedures in the United States. A couple of the reasons so many women choose to have a breast augmentation procedure performed are to improve their overall image and build self-confidence.
Incision Points:
In the past, one of the downsides of breast augmentation surgery was the possibility of having visible scars once the procedure was complete. Now, plastic surgeons like Dr. Mandell-Brown in Cincinnati, Ohio can perform breast augmentation procedures with nearly invisible incisions.
Your plastic surgeon will discuss with you about the different places an incision can be made for a breast augmentation procedure. At the moment, there are four different incision points that the plastic surgeon can choose: areola, inframammary fold, transaxillary (armpit), and TUBA (umbilical). Each of these incision points is chosen to hide any scarring as much as possible.
The areola incision is made where the light skin of the breast and the dark skin around the nipple meet. This incision allows the plastic surgeon to work right next to the area where the implant will be placed. Also, the plastic surgeon can place the implant anywhere from this location.
The inframammary fold incision is placed in the crease where the breast meets the ribcage. This incision point also allows the plastic surgeon to place the implant anywhere. One of the advantages of this incision point is that if there are any corrections that need to be made after the surgery, the doctor can use the same incision point.
One of the more popular choices for incision points is the transaxillary crease. This method places the incision in the crease of the armpit. This method provides a scarless breast because the incision is very small and the armpit hides any scars. Since the incision point is farther away from the implant area, some doctors choose to use an endoscope to aid in the procedure. Implants can be placed over, partially under, or completely under the muscle through this incision point.
The transumbilical breast augmentation (TUBA) method was first performed in 1991. This method places the incision and hides any resulting scars in the belly button. During this method of breast augmentation, the doctor will make an incision in the belly button and use an endoscope to aid in the placement of the implant. The TUBA method can place implants over the muscle or partially under the muscle. Also, it is said the since the incision point is further away from the breast, there is less postoperative discomfort and a faster recovery time.
To get more information about having a mandellbrown.com breast augmentation procedure performed, schedule an initial consultation with a plastic surgeon near you. During your initial consultation, a good mandellbrown.com plastic surgeon like Dr. Mandell-Brown in Cincinnati, OH, will inform you about the incisions and placements they are most comfortable with. They will also discuss with you about what procedure will give you the results you want.

L-Tyrosine Benefits
Tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid. The amino acid helps to regulate mood and it stimulates the nervous system. Conditions that have a chronic fatigue component can also be treated with tyrosine. Tyrosine has a number of functions.
Tyrosine makes important brain chemicals that regulate appetite, pain sensitivity, and the body’s reaction to stress. It helps to normalize the functions of the thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal glands. It can also help to ease sensitivity to pain.
Some symptoms of tyrosine deficiency could be hypothyroidism, low blood pressure, chronic fatigue and slow metabolism. The body cannot make its own tyrosine and this may lead to a variety of mental disorders, anxiety, depression, and low libido.
Tyrosine is used to treat allergies. It is also used to treat headaches and Parkinson’s. It further can be used to treat drug withdrawal and depression.
Some food sources where tyrosine is found are in almonds. It is also found in avocados, and bananas. Dairy products, beans, and seeds also are sources for tyrosine.
Overall, we believe this amino acid to be very beneficial to your health; people who consume the amino acid, often feel improved vitality and energy.
Precautions
L-Tyrosine is a naturally manufactured amino acid in the human body; however there is a possibility that negative reactions could happen if consumed in too high a dose. However, we believe overall, it an extremely safe nutrient.
Woman who are pregnant or nursing, or those with an existing medical condition (importantly those individuals suffering with psychiatric conditions or taking any prescription drugs of any kind) should talk with their physician before taking L-Tyrosine.
Most places we have come across recommend taking 500 mgs to 1,500 mgs per day, but we personally believe that to be far to excessive unless otherwise stated by a qualified health professional. For most people, we say a daily dosage of 150-300 mgs should yield the needed health benefits whilst avoiding the risks from taking mega high doses pf this amino acid.
The product we personally use called Total Balance - health-product-we-use.com health-product-we-use.com is the best supplement we have come across. We have been using this supplement for over 3 years with excellent health results.
We highly recommend you take a further look in to our health-product-we-use.com supplement of choice if you are interested in improving your overall health.

Colour Consultations - With Image Consultants For An Instant Slimmer Healthier Look!
Psychologists have suggested that colour can account for 60% of the acceptance or rejection of any product or service and this includes the colours you wear.
In fact, the colours you wear can make you instantly look slimmer and healthier!
More people than ever before are taking advantage of colour consultations, to project a better image.
Colour consultations can show you the best colours to wear to make you look slimmer, healthier and create a positive impression on everyone you meet.
Colour consultations with image consultants are growing in popularity and when you consider the following fact you will understand why:
We react to colour before ANYTHING else, and that’s why it’s so important.
We react to colour on instinct.
We all act on instinct to colour, and in many instances our responses to colour can help us survive. For example, if you were swimming in the sea, and saw a large grey object swimming toward you, and could not see the object only the colour, you probably swim away as fast as possible.
Grey in this instance immediately triggers a danger response, the object could be a shark and colour signals danger.
colours and what we associate them with
As society has developed it has reinforced our association with certain colours to trigger a response. Ever wondered why the uniforms of so many police or armed forces personnel and even traffic wardens are black or dark blue?
The reason is that these colours signify power and authority. Go into a Hospital or dentist waiting room, and you will often see pale green, usually because of its soothing, relaxing impact. Take a road sign, traffic light or warning notice, see red and you know you probably need to be cautious. In conclusion, each and everyday of our lives we react to colour in some shape or form.
Colour and your image
We all react to colour, and can use the influence of colour to our advantage, to create a positive impression.
If you’ve never really thought much about how much of an influence colour has on your life, then its time to start. Understanding what different colours mean to other people, and how to use these colours to enhance your image, will help you gain more from your life.
This is what a colour consultation is all about, getting more from life
Consider this simple fact; around 60% of clothes sold in the UK are black.
The reason for this is that black can be used both formally and informally to great effect.
Wearing colours to make an impact
Wearing black formally suggests elegance, strength, authority and power. If you have to attend a business interview, black is always a great colour. In Western culture, if worn in the right way, then in a formal setting, it will trigger a positive response.
Now consider wearing red to business meeting. While many people like red as a colour, many may not, as it can be viewed as over the top, attention grabbing, and sometimes even confrontational.
When worn properly, in any situation, black clothing conveys neatness and simplicity.
Black may be seen as a safe colour, but it is extremely effective if worn in the right way, to trigger a positive response.
Colour consultantions can make you look slimmer & healthier!
A trained image consultant when giving you a colour consultation will not of course recommend you wear just black. They will help you choose the best colours to use in relation to your complexion, hair colour and build.
Using the rights colours can help you look slimmer, healthier, and project a serious or fun image.

A Good Grapefruit Diet
What are the benefits of eating grapefruit?
- Grapefruit helps you lose weight.
- Gives you more energy.
- Helps to keep your thyroid hormone in balance.
- Regulates the intake of fatty acids.
- Good for your heart and circulation.
- Contains lots of potassium.
Lecithin
KLB6 contains lecithin, which is a lipid or material like fat. This lipid is made up of choline and inositol and is a major part of cell membranes. Lecithin is involved in the process of passing nutrients into and out of cells. If you take a dosage of lecithin every day, it will help your cells get all the nutrients they need. But it does more than that.
It also helps with cholesterol regulation as well as trouble with gallstones. It helps break down the fats your body ingests into a form it can use in a constructive way. Several studies have shown that lecithin helps to treat liver problems and a variety of neurological disorders.
Kelp
Another important ingredient in KLB6 is kelp, which is one of the best vegetables for losing weight. A major cause of obesity is slow activity of the thyroid hormone. Kelp contains lots of iodine, which helps to feed the thyroid that contributes to weight reduction. Kelp also increases your metabolism, which helps you to burn more fat when you exercise. Studies have shown that it can also give you more stamina, which helps your cells be more efficient with energy.
For all these reasons plus some others, the common sea vegetable kelp, has often been used as a detoxifier. The iodine contained in KLB6 goes to the thyroid gland and is turned into ‘thyroxin’. This is a hormone that regulates the basal metabolism and helps you to burn fat and loose weight. Thyroid problems and eating habits are the most important factors leading to obesity, so the kelp supplement is great for someone who wants to get their weight under control.
Pyridoxine
Another major element of KLB6 is Pyridoxine, which you may know as vitamin B6. This vitamin helps to produce and maintain good red blood cells, and has more uses in the body than any other one vitamin. Vitamin B6 is water soluble and is needed to release the nutrients we need from the food we eat. It cannot be stored in the body, so you have to make sure you get enough of this vitamin every day.
Foods like bread, meat, fish, eggs, beans, potatoes, bananas, nuts and seeds all contain vitamin B6, but often the food we eat is processed food and thus nutrient depleted, so we must get vitamin B6 from supplements. You need to get enough vitamin B6 every day. If not you may suffer from disorders like insomnia, problems with your central nervous system, hormonal problems and more. What happens is that you are not getting the nutrients from what you eat, and therefore you cannot utilize the calories you get.
This might cause what is commonly called ‘nervous eating.’ It is very important for people on diets because it is so essential for breaking down carbohydrates, fats and proteins into a useful form. It also helps the formation of red blood cells, production of neurotransmitters, enzymes and more. Vitamin B6 aids the body in making serotonin, a neurotransmitter that regulates mood, sleep patters and appetite, so a vitamin B6 deficiency can lead to stress and emotional problems. Weight loss dieters should definitely take a vitamin B6 supplement in addition to a healthy, balanced diet.
Another substance that KLB6 contains is apple cider vinegar. This sider has been used for years and years in folk medicine. Apple cider vinegar (or ACV) is an acid that reacts with the body’s alkaline and are able to release water weight in the form of stored water. ACV also contains amino acids, lactic acid, acetic acid, propionic acid, apple pectin and potash, and has small quantities of calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, sodium, phosphorous, fluorine, sulphur, silicon, copper, chlorine, beta-carotene, vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C and E, and flavonoids. Now, as you can see, ACV has lots of nutrients and minerals which help your body function regularly.
All in all KLB6 is a great supplement that, taken with a healthy, balanced diet, performs many functions in your body.
